Split bathrooms, which are crucial to the morning getting ready routing, remain as a standard feature in almost every category. Each of those staterooms falls into one of four primary types of rooms; each of those four types is further divided into multiple categories and subcategories. Which category you choose will have a rather substantial impact on the cost of your cruise, so it’s wise to research ahead. There are still three main restaurants onboard for your nightly dinner rotation, but two of them feature live entertainment during your meal. You still have four main types of passenger staterooms with lots of individual categories and subcategories. But some of those individual categories include never-before-seen rooms like a Tower Suite that’s actually located inside one of the giant red funnels (smokestacks) on top of the ship.
Casual Dining on the Disney Wish Cruise Ship
Above the headboard of the beds (which can be separated into two twins), custom artwork gives each room an elegant yet whimsical feeling. These murals evoke Disney's classic movies, including Cinderella, Frozen, The Princess and the Frog, Sleeping Beauty and Moana, while suites contain paintings inspired by Tangled -- all without using a single character. Touches of gold and silver leaf are used to create the illusion of illuminated spaces within the artwork, like castle windows. When you look at the Disney Wish deck plan you’ll see that there are ‘bump-outs’ on Decks 6 to 10. If you choose a category 4 stateroom on a bump-out, you’ll benefit from a larger balcony.

A la carte items where the price is not set are available, too. Meals at Enchanté cost $125 per person for the set menu or you can order a la carte dishes. At The Rose, drinks are by the glass, so you can pop in whenever you're free — and you should, as it's an incredibly elegant spot ideal for unwinding without kids. I tried out Palo while on Disney Wish, and it was over-the-top amazing when it came to the service, the views and, of course, the food itself. The Arendelle menu is Nordic-influenced, though there are options from a little closer to home, too, should you prefer less-adventurous items.

The "Category 1A" loft suite's guests can expect royal service from a dedicated concierge team, an array of curated experiences, a selection of daily treats, private elevator access. Most staterooms are quads and furnished with double beds (convertible), single sofabeds, 1x upper bunk or 1x Murphy bed (wall bed/pull-down bed). "Family cabins" are with King-size beds (non-convertible), single sofabeds and bunk beds (Pullman) and accommodate up to 5 passengers.

The drinkware itself even adds to the theme of this lounge, which is inspired by Cinderella’s rendition of “Sing Sweet Nightingale” from the 1950 Disney classic movie. They felt the menu was perfectly fine, but conceded that nothing they ordered reached “must do again” status. Our group also dined at 1923 once for breakfast (as an alternative to Marceline Market) and was pleased with the offerings during that meal period. They felt it was much better than a traditional character meal, even for jaded adults. Compared to, say, a Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom) or Restaurant Akershus (EPCOT), the quality of the character entertainment and interactions is in a class by itself.

Gone, too, is the art deco and art nouveau design of past ships, replaced with a crisper, cleaner and, dare we say, more imaginative take on decor. Like the other Disney Ships, Disney Wish features a Senses spa onboard. Enchanté offers dinner service, along with a brunch service on select days of the cruise. For dinner, enjoy a six-course prix-fixe offering, or select from à la carte items such as Caviar, Wild Halibut, or Maine Lobster. Menu offerings are rather limited, with a focus on artisanal quality rather than broad quantity. Concierge staterooms offer extra personalized service, concierge staff, and access to an exclusive Concierge Lounge and sun deck.

Rotational dining doesn’t mean you’re sitting in a revolving restaurant. Diners are pre-scheduled to visit a different restaurant on each night of the cruise on a schedule called a dining rotation. Personally, I think the private verandah is the best aspect of the Royal Suites on the Disney Wish. Guests can access the private outdoor space from the common area or the bedroom on the first floor. DCL's innovative Inside Cabin features (industry's first) "Magical Portholes" - large, round-shaped LCD screens (positioned above the beds) projecting real-time outside views which are provided by the ship's cameras. Veranda Cabin's balcony is fitted with 2 deckchairs and a low table.
